Tobu CSOs organise ‘sales day’ to fund teacher’s salary
DIMAPUR — The civil society organisations (CSOs) of Tobu, under the banner of the Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) and in collaboration with the district administration, organised a one-day “sales day” at Tobu town on September 7.
The event aimed to raise funds to pay the salary of a temporarily appointed PGT Economics at Government Higher Secondary School Tobu, according to a press release.
This arrangement was made after Naongchemdan, a teacher, resigned following her selection as an assistant professor in the recently announced NPSC examination. Following that, the additional deputy commissioner (ADC), Shaying Shiu, along with the CSOs of Tobu, held a meeting to arrange for the immediate engagement of a PGT.
