Tuensang District Institute of Education and Training celebrates silver jubilee
DIMAPUR — The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Tuensang celebrated its silver jubilee on Monday at DIET auditorium in Tuensang.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Nokchasashi congratulated the teaching faculty and pioneers of the institution for attaining the milestone. He added that achieving a jubilee is not an easy task, “it’s a day of celebration of achievement and also a time of devotion and commitment to our work to reevaluate and draw a road map for the action plan for the future,” an update from DIPR informed.

The DC also said the state has a shortage of trained and qualified teachers which is hampering the quality of the education system. He encouraged the students to adjust to the changing qualities of the world and envision the skill and knowledge which will benefit the society as a whole. He also highlighted the New Education Policy 2020 of the Central government.

The keynote address was delivered by Limawabang Jamir, VP DIET; a special number by jubilee choir, a special prayer for DIET by Akhang Pastor Unit Baptist Church, 3rd NAP; and a vote of thanks was proposed by K Hekamla, lecturer, DIET.
The programme was chaired by Bendanglemle Chang, lecturer, DIET Tuensang.
