DIPHU — The Assam Police apprehended two individuals during a checkpoint operation at Lahorijan on NH36 on Wednesday.
The pair was apprehended while transporting a significant amount of heroin, weighing 334.83 gram, estimated to be worth INR 1 crore.
The apprehended individuals, identified as Habibur Rahman and Jaharidul Haque, hailing from Mangaldai and Hajo, respectively, were en route from Dimapur to Guwahati in a car (Swift Dzire) bearing the registration number AS01FN5844.
