Dimapur, Jan. 15 (EMN): Imperials and Juggernauts CC register wins in their respective matches in the ongoing 25th edition of Winter Cricket Challenge (WCC) played at local ground, Wokha on Friday, to set a clash for the championship title today.
In the first semifinal match, Kohima Lotha Students’ Union (KLSU) elected to bat first after winning the toss and set a paltry target of 49 runs in 20 overs at 2.45 runs per over.
Chasing the low total, Imperials trashed KLSU by nine wickets.
Yanrenthung Ngullie of Imperial, who took six wickets for his team, was named the Man of the Match.
In the second match of the day, Juggernauts CC elected to bat first after winning the toss and put up a target of 113 runs at 5.65 runs per over in the allotted 20 overs and eventually beat EYL by 14 runs.
Hakao Murry, who took three wickets and scored 18 runs from four overs for Juggernauts CC, was declared the Man of the Match.
Juggernauts CC will now take on Imperials for the Winter Cricket Challenge title.
