Yemhi Memorial College organises workshop on job avenues in MSMEs
DIMAPUR — Yemhi Memorial College organised a one-day workshop on avenues for entrepreneurship and self-employment in micro, small and medium enterprises in Nagaland on Monday.
Assistant Director, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Dimapur, Y Khetoi Shohe was the resource speaker for the workshop.
An update from the college stated that the workshop was organised with the objective to sensitise the students on the importance of skill-based education for self employment and for building a successful enterprise.
Addressing the students, Shohe highlighted the objectives and functions of KVIC and the different online and offline entrepreneurship development programme training centres available for the beneficiaries.
He encouraged the students to lay emphasis on skill-based avenues and entrepreneurship since it is much in demand globally. An interactive session was held after the programme in which the speaker clarified the doubts of the students regarding the different schemes offered under KVIC, it said.
The programme was chaired by Sino Olive Shohe, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics. The other highlights of the programme included a welcome address delivered by Temsunaro Imchen, HoD, Economics and vote of thanks by Akaholi Ayemi, BA 4th Semester, Economics Honours.
