Yimkhiung Youth Organisation celebrates foundation day

DIMAPUR — The Yimkhiung Youth Organisation (YYO) observed its foundation day and thanksgiving ceremony at its headquarters in Pungro town on Tuesday.

According to a press release, representatives of the YYO under Pungro subdivision and leaders from different organisations attended the programme.

After a formal programme, officials of the Yimkhiung Youth Organisation held a meeting with its village representatives and resolved to implement its resolution to fight against drugs and pledge against drug abuse.

Further, it issued a stern warning to individuals or groups involved in drug dealing and consumption, stating that stringent action will be taken upon discovery, potentially resulting in expulsion from the community.

It was also announced that the YYO will hold its executive meetings at Chessore headquarters on May 30 and at Shamator headquarters on June 1. Representatives of their respective zones have been requested to attend the meetings.
