Youth advocacy and music promotion to make Nagaland truly a land of music — CM Rio
Rio was addressing the finale of the Three-day 4th edition of Brilliante Piano Festival at Capital Cultural Hall Kohima, Nagaland
KOHIMA — Nagaland Government will continue to support the youth as it believes in them (youth) and promote music to make Nagaland truly a land of music, said Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Rio was addressing the finale of the Three-day 4th edition of Brilliante Piano Festival on Sunday evening at Capital Cultural Hall Kohima.
Explounding on the power of Music being a part of Nagas culture, Rio maintained that Nagaland has many talented musicians and Piano, in particular, has gained global recognition and is attracting global attention.
While he congratulated the organisers of the Brilliante Piano Festival led by Khyochano TCK, founder and director of the festival that it has gone global. He also expressed delight about this year’s edition giving the platform to persons with disabilities.
He reiterated his commitment to empower the youth of the state wherein in his early innings as the Chief Minister of the state and had declared “Year of Youth empowerment” while the government has founded TaFMA and it is doing well.
While he asserted that Music is a part of Nagas culture on all occasions, he also added that the people are talented and through dedicated platforms and initiatives Nagaland has been placed in the musical map of the country.
Highlighting that TaFMA has reached many countries and places showcasing the talents of various music genres, he assured that the state government will continue to support youth and music to make Nagaland truly a land of Music.
The finale event witnessed various renowned artists to the attendees delights such as Hope Academy Choir, Nise Meruno, Kekhrie Ringa with Paddy Trio, Dr Adam J Greig, Moaliba Insong, Joi Barua among others.
Meanwhile, Khyochano TCK, founder and director of Brilliante Piano Festival said the intent is to be unique and be catalyst for change and make impact through the language of music.
