Zunheboto district inter-departmental tournament concludes

DIMAPUR — The 11th Zunheboto District Inter-Departmental Tournament, 2024, organised by the District Sports Council Zunheboto (DSCZ) and district administration, culminated on Saturday, with the Department of School Education emerging as overall champions followed by DEF Zunheboto in the second place.

Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, the guest of honour of the closing ceremony, in his address, credited the success of the event to the collective efforts of all the departments and the organisers, a DIPR report stated.

Badminton men’s singles: champion – H Hinoka Sema, runner up – Viton Tuccu

Badminton men’s’ doubles: champions – Inato H Zhimo and H Hinoka Sema, runners up- Trongdiba Tongpi and Akumjung Jamir

Badminton women’s doubles: champions – Toli V and Newtoli, runners up – Subeni Jami and Aholi T Sumi

Men’s penalty shootout: champions: Sr. SDEO, runners up – Sericulture

Men’s carom: champions – L Tohoshe Awomi and Avika K Yeptho, runners up – Viwoto Swu and Q Awoto Chishi

Women’s carom: champions – Alivi G and Okitoli, runners up – H Elina Kinny and Elizabeth

Men’s Chess: champion – Vishito Aye, runner up – Bovito
